Loreal: The missions of the L’Oréal Foundation focus on two main commitments; promoting science and providing help to the most vulnerable members of society through beauty. Conveying the values of excellence, generosity, and creativity, science is at the core of the Foundation’s commitments, particularly its commitment to supporting women researchers through its “For Women in Science” program, a worldwide initiative in partnership with UNESCO. The Foundation’s other commitments, whether education/training, socio-esthetics, and reconstructive surgery are based on a vision of beauty as a way to improve lives of disadvantaged people and help them re-enter the world of work, a way to help them regain the sense of self-esteem and self-respect necessary for a life of dignity.
PSDF: Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) is a section 42 non-profitable company established in 2010 under the Companies Ordinance 1984 by the Government of Punjab in partnership with the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID, UK). The World Bank is also providing funds to the Punjab Government for the training to be funded by PSDF. PSDF aims to provide quality skills and vocational training opportunities to the poor and vulnerable populations of all the 36 districts of Punjab in order to improve livelihood prospects for them since its establishment in 2011, PSDF has trained 250,000 youth in over 200 trades and it is working with over 250 private & public sector training providers. Over the next 5 years, it will be training over 400,000 youth across Punjab that will be employed in Pakistan and abroad.
US Consulate: ICare program “Building Beautiful Future for Pakistani Women” with US Consulate was successful as 10 women graduated through them. Recently ICARE trained a batch of 120 women and in 2018 we aim to train 500+ women for beauty and grooming skills which will make a positive change in their lives and the ones closely associated with them.
